Leil HaSeder EN
Fire and Water. Opposites of one another, and yet, both integral parts of the Passover story. The fire which rained from Heaven in the Ten Plagues, falling into the blood red Nile river below. The Israelites crossing the Red Sea, only to see the world turn to fire at Mount Sinai. We burn the Chametz, and we make sure no water touches our Flour. Passover is a time to reflect on opposites: Freedom and Slavery, Parents and Children, Bitterness and Sweetness. Join us this year at Hillel’s English language Seder, where we will go through our traditional liturgy but also make space for individuals to share their own Fires and Waters. What makes you angry? What burns inside of you? What is something you need to survive? What is something which quenches your thirst for existence? Answer all these question, plus at least four more, at Hillel’s English language Seder on Thursday, April 2 at 8pm!
