Israel/Palestine – Between Ideal and Reality

A Hillel Berlin Educational Series

For many Jews in Germany, Israel occupies a powerful place in imagination, memory, and identity — often shaped by family narratives, education, media, and crisis moments. This cohort-based learning journey bridges the gap between Israel as an idea and Israel as a lived, complex society.

Over six in-person sessions (April–July 2026), we will explore Zionism, Israeli society, contested narratives, civil society, and the moral and political questions shaping the present moment.

Participants will gain:

• A nuanced knowledge base on Israel/Palestine

• Confidence navigating difficult conversations

• Tools to contextualize competing narratives

• Insight into civil society and peace work on the ground

For Jewish students & young adults (22–35). Prior knowledge welcome, curiosity required!

Rolling admissions until April 12 (limited spots).
