Interfaith Workshop The Other - Ein jüdisch-muslimischer Workshop zur Geschichte und Gegenwart des Fremden

In this interfaith workshop, Jewish and Muslim participants explore historical documents from both traditions that address the concept of the “Other.” Core texts – such as the “Constitution of Medina” and rabbinic legal sources – are examined and compared to uncover similarities and differences in the perception and treatment of outsiders. The second part of the workshop shifts to contemporary Germany: How are Jews and Muslims being framed as “foreign” under the rise of right-wing populism? Through guided discussion, participants will reflect on shared experiences and explore pathways for mutual support and solidarity.
