ArtMinds II: Choose Life — L’Chaim!

“I have put before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life, so that you and your offspring may live.”
— Deuteronomy 30:19

In collaboration with Hillel Deutschland, we invite you to the first ArtMinds II gathering, honoring the memory of our dear friend Michael Lerman, who passed away this summer. Together, we’ll reflect on choosing life and the light we carry from those who have shaped us.

Through Jewish learning with VLVL Lutset, we’ll explore the five interconnected levels of the soul, how they shape our understanding of ourselves and our connections with others, and the many ways Jewish tradition reflects on the soul and its place in the world.

Using monotype printmaking, we’ll create individual artworks that will come together in one collective piece. Through layered shapes, overlapping forms, and interconnected patterns, our individual prints will become a shared symbol of connection: many unique souls, stories, and experiences woven into one community.

Let’s come together to remember, reflect, create, and connect—and say: L’Chaim—to life, to our souls, and to the light we carry forward 🫶
