What are the attitudes towards Jews in society? Join us for a data backed discussion on May 19, as part of the Jewish Campus Week! Professor Dr. phil. Oliver Decker is a distinguished psychologist specializing in social psychology and intercultural practice at Sigmund Freud University Berlin. He serves as the director of the Else-Frenkel-Brunswik Institute for Democracy Research and the Centre of Excellence for Research on Right-Wing Extremism and Democracy at Leipzig University. Since 2002, he has co-led the Leipzig Authoritarianism Studies, a biennial research series analyzing right-wing extremist attitudes in Germany. His scholarly work focuses on authoritarianism, political participation, and societal transformation, with notable publications including "Escape into Authoritarianism" (2022) and "Autoritäre Dynamiken" Professor Decker's presentation will cover the results of the 4th chapter of 'Vereint im Ressentiment' specifically dealing with attitudes both latent and explicit towards Jews in Germany.
